A Tennessee Walking Horse Affaire To Remember

Lewisburg TN – The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA), along with the Mid Ohio Walking Horse Association (MOWHA), once again represented the Tennessee Walking Horse at what proved to be an Equine Affaire to remember. This year’s event, which ran from April 7^th through April 10^th at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, was one of the largest equine gatherings in recent history with approximately 100,000 visitors.

The the well-turned out Tennessee Walking Horse breed booth was a popular destination at this year’s Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio.

As has become tradition, TWHBEA and MOWHA had a prime location in the Breed Pavilion. TWHBEA provided the staff for the breed booth, which featured a wide array of literature, gift shop merchandise and membership opportunities, including a saddle giveaway for one lucky new or renewing member. MOWHA members provided the horses for the two stalls adjacent to the breed booth and conducted breed demos throughout the weekend.

The lucky winner of the saddle was first time TWHBEA member Pam Koontz of Mt. Victory, Ohio. Special thanks to National Bridle Shop in Lewisburg, Tennessee, for their assistance with this valuable membership incentive. All in all, TWHBEA garnered an impressive 43 new or renewing memberships at the event.

Extra Classic and Mag Ranft, Prides Striding Generator and Emma Krock, Just Gimme A Kiss and Katie Tanner, JFK’s Overly Delightful and John Davis, Genius’ Classical Journey and John Jaurez, Rock Solid Rev and Jim Potter, Vigor’s Dixie Chick and Allison Thorson, and Cocoa’s Red Zone and Jason Crawhorn represented the Tennessee Walking Horse in a well attended breed demo at Equine Affaire Ohio.

The horses representing our great breed at this year’s Equine Affaire Ohio were Karma’s Country Kato owned by Sally McCune, Jazzin’ Up A Storm owned by Maria Redmond, Extra Classic owned and exhibited by Mag Ranft, Genius’ Classical Journey and Genius Mountain Traveler owned by Joyce and Terry Moyer and exhibited by Terry Moyer and John Juarez, Rock Solid Rev owned by Gary and Henri Williams and exhibited by Jim Potter, JFK’s Overly Delightful owned and exhibited by John Davis, Genius Royal Thunder owned by Margaret Barbour and exhibited by Angela Barbour, Legacy’s Onyx Sun owned by Margaret Barbour, Whoopi’s Promise Angel owned by Wendy Kaufman, Prides Striding Generator owned by Steve, Cindy and Emma Krock and exhibited by Emma Krock, Simpley Shocking owned by Chad and Katie Tanner, Just Gimme A Kiss owned and exhibited by Katie Tanner, Vigor’s Dixie Chick owned and exhibited by Allison Thorson and Cocoa’s Red Zone owned by Lisa Bowen and Tiffany Crawhorn and exhibited by Jason Crawhorn.
