whywould people do such a horribal thing to such beautiful creatures...

dusty is a 16.2 hand registerd tb. He is now a beautiful hunter/jumper, but he wasnt always like that when I had first gone to look at dusty he was 300 pounds under weight(hints the picture) All he had to eat was what fell down into his round pen which just gave him just enough room to turn around. He never got turned out and it was also the middle of winter and he didnt even have a blanket on. So he was free to a good home so we got him. But as everyone knows, no horse is ever FREE! so we wownd up paying 8000$ in vet bills but we thought we were on the road to succes when he started getting a spark in his eye...but one day my riding instructer callie called and dusty wascolicking we found out later that it was a very seriouse case of gas colic. And no body thought he was going to live to see tomorow but he did. And he slowy started his road to recovery and that was all thanks to these people. Callie thanks for being there to take whennobdy else was. Greg for finding dusty without you he would probaly be dead right now. Mom with out you helping me with dusty he wouldnt be here right now. Grandma Donna for helping pay for dustys bills he really needed you back then. Thanks to all of you + the vets. I love Dusty!

It makes me sick to see animals suffer in the hands of very irresponsible, neglectful, mean spirited and stupid people.I don't have any kind words for them because they don't deserve any compassion, just like they have treated their animals. The animals have the right to eat and have fresh water and shelter provided.personally, I'd like to have 5 mins. with them alone , but then I'd be called a vigilante and be stooping to their level in the slithering world! .As you can see I am very upset with abuse...of animals and children. They are innocent and have no way of escaping .What should the authorities do with these people? Fines, sure, but time in prison would be better.I have seen first hand animal abuse and have a beautiful mare that was a rescue.I love her dearly. Thank God Dusty has you and your family to love, and be loved. He's in good hands and will always be loyal to you.He knows what you did for him.Good for you! A happy ending YEA!
That is just revolting. What happened to the person who had your horse originally? Thank goodness you got him - he is such a cutie (as you can see by photo #3!) at least your story has a happy ending, but the person who had him before should have the same things done to them. Sorry to be so callous, but that's just the way I feel!
I completely agree with everything being said here! People who abuse animals deserve to have the harshest punishments available, but we dont have room in our prisons for these pigs. And our taxes would go up tenfold because of feeding the evil little snakes. I do think they should be used for other purposes, like testing makeup and perfume and junk. Why test on animals when you could test on people? BAD people. Then they'd be paying their way. And sure...they might get rashes, but really...who cares?
I'm lucky that my TB had a loving trainer and groom while he raced, then came to me where he's spoiled rotten (I actually read to him, Indiana Jones is his favorite BTW). So he came off the track in a good condition, but I've seen the cruelty and it makes me want to cry. Perfectly good and young horses that could have bright futures destroyed...for what? A slim chance and a small purse? Useless.
