1. Which areas of Barnmice are your favorites? Is there an area that you rarely visit?

2. How often do you read the news headlines on Barnmice and do you read them from our International News in our right column or in our news scroll running along the bottom of our community? What types of news items do you tend to click on to open and read further?

3. How often do you add content to the community? Is there something we can offer that might inspire you to add content more often?

4. What features would you like to see added to Barnmice? What would you like to see more of?

5. Do you share Barnmice content via Facebook? Twitter? Emails to friends?

Comment by Tracy McDermott on April 11, 2012 at 5:36pm: 1. Mare Stare, Over 50 and over 60. I have enjoyed the eventing videos and national news about horses.

2. I read from both the column on the right and the headlines at the bottom, although the headlines are a bit much on the page. Sometimes it all gets just so busy with the pictures and words changing. It's annoying.

3. I add content around once a week or when I feel I have something to add to the general conversation. Many times I don't add because the conversation is to steeped in one area or another and I just don't identify with the thread.

4. I would like to see areas with less dressage and more wilderness or trail riding exchanges. Like places to ride and camp.

5. I don't share much except the Mare Stare.

I would like to see horse health news including new techniques in shoeing, training, identifying illness or injury.

All in all I visit Barnmice every day and really enjoy it. Thanks

2) I don't read much of the news. If I do it's about stable mgnt or vet info.

3)I have not added a thing. I think a tutorial for the whole site would have me uploading things.

4)User tutorial for slow pokes like me. I don't have much time online so when I come on I want to know what I'm doing to save time.

5)I post videos on facebook. I don't tweet much.

So, Jackie, I am going to look into creating a better dropdown to divide the blogs into headings. I think I can do that fairly well.

Anonymous, I like that conformation idea too. Maybe we can think of a contest around it! Also, we have a number of people in our forums who are eager to do book reviews and if I can find a member who would like to be our official book review editor, would love to get that going.

A few people have talked about the photos and I will be happy to think up a new photo contest in the very near future. From this end, I can tell you that I am AMAZED at how many fantastic photos our members have shared. Well over 40,000!!

On another note, I am interested to know if people read the topic headlines from our forums that we preview in our center column. I would love to entice more people to use the forum and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also love the youtube links! I wish I would have more time to visit but am sooooooooo busy. Thanks for all your info regarding foaling. My mare foaled all by herself, by surprise! She was due 2 weeks later but the foal turned out amazing and the two did excellent and still are!

Comment by Jackie Cochran on April 11, 2012 at 4:19pm: 1. Blogs, Forum, Discussions, any comments on these, any Groups I belong to, Members, Videos, Photos, News. I rarely check out the classifieds and I go to the Review section maybe once a month or so.

2. I check out the news from the right column (the bottom feed blocks the Chat room.) I mostly read veterinary news. I'm not that interested in shows and competitions except TB horse racing.

3. I add content most days. I do a blog most weeks and I also do a lot of comments!

4. I LIKE anonymous's ideas for book reviews and illustrated discussions on horse conformation.

5. I'm not much of an on-line socializer except for Barnmice, I do TELL people about Barnmice verbally though!

Suggestions--some further organization of the blogs might be nice just so people can find the "serious" blogs more easily.

2. I haven't read them yet, as I didn't know they existed (I'm fairly new here)

3. Not very often. Contests would inspire me to add content more often

4. I'd like to see more book reviews. Also chances to test our ability to judge horse conformation.

5. No, but my sister that doesn't like horses comes on and watches the mares with me.

4. Photo contests with everyone horses would be cool. Besides that Barnmice is horse-terrific! Love it!

5. Yes, I share Barnmice on Facebook with all my horse owner friends. Don't do Twitter. Yes to emails to family & friends too.

2. I read the news headlines first and I get them from the left side. Probably the competition news is what I

look at least.

3. I seldom add content. I think I am overly cautious about adding an opinion, maybe thinking that

everybody on here seems like an expert and I'm not.

4. Nope, can't think of anything to add. I love the contests, though I've never won one. Maybe more of them?

5. Don't share because I am technologically illiterate. Sigh!
