Well today is Thanksgiving in Canada, and don't we always have so much to be thankful for?  Really we do, but we find so many things to complain about, the beauty is lost.  Today is  day to celebrate gratitude for cell phones, your child's smile, the loving partner in your life, the horse who tolerates your lack of skill!  Just think about it, most of us here are not in the African desert starving with no medical care and no rain in sight.  Just imagine being one of those people for a day, how much you would NOT complain that your computer isn't fast enough or your vegetables cost too much.  They don't even have vegetables to buy, never mind worrying about price!  We are so blessed, but we don't see it, so today of all days, make it a point to see that sunset, love your neighbour, kiss your family who are still with you and not departed, and give carrots and unconditional love to that beast in the barn who so patiently puts up with your short comings!

In the midst of the great Tsunami, the death and destruction, a child was found floating out at sea on an air mattress. Miracles great and small happen around us everyday, in the midst of our chaos, there is beauty. Speaking as a woman who lost a marriage after 33 years, my home, farm, barn - everything in some people's eyes, and recently my only brother, some would ask - what do you have to be grateful for?  I answer, I found me,Ii have 2 great kids and grandkids, I have freedom, a sense of self. I stand now in my power of who  I truly am, with my own definition of me, not living by someone else's ideas or emotions.  I am grateful for all the lessons, be some of them unpleasant and tough, but I survived and shall continue to do so with faith that everything will work out according to our Divine Plan.  I have lost 35 lbs, and counting, I go to the gym 3 days a week and run the other 3, I have my 2 best horses and my trailer and truck, and I have my health, all I need really.   I don't have my own home yet, but am working on that, so you see, in the midst of the greatest adversity - there is beauty, joy and gratitude.

Remember that every thought you think carries the power to create, and worry is a form of praying for what you don't want in your life.  Be open to solutions that come from unexpected places, by detaching from the out come, you give the Universe the power to open unseen doors.   In the middle of all this, give your horse a hug, and allow them to have their own personalty, free from oppression and suppression.  They deserve freedom to be who they are too, I have decided to write a book called "What Horses Really Want" as I have much information passed to me from them and they want to share it with the world - it's their words of communication through me, so sometime next year I will have it done - sounds like fun eh? In the meantime, just say "thank you" for the air you breathe.  Blessings always,  all Ways, namaste, Ann.

When you write your book about what horses really want, I want a copy (paper, buying, of course.)

Next month we will have Turkey Day (Thanksgiving) down here.  From what I've seen Thanksgiving is the most sacred holiday in the USA, at least fewer people are working and some of the stores are even shut all day.
