Tack Cleaning!
This is a good time in the year to clean and inspect all your tack.
Take all your bridles, saddles, surcingles, halters, reins and other equipment you might have, a nice warm drink and your favorite saddle soap.
You might find some things that need mending.

I try to get all my leather tack sometime in the winter. I rub lard into it (avoiding all metal and rubber!!!), and so long I lard my tack once or twice a year it does not dry out.
