Does anyone have any photos, videos, or stories from Ontario tracks or horses that they would like to share?

Unfortunately, I'm one of the unlucky few that have never had a chance to visit Ontario. I am especially fond of harness racers, and hope I can attend races with some great Canadian-bred horses in the near future. Who can breed greater horses than Northern Dancer and Somebeachsomewhere? :)

As some of you may well know, Ontario Horse Racing is facing some difficult times currently. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and the Ontario Liberal Government is set to cancel the Slots at Racetracks Partnership as of March 31, 2013. This pamphlet I have composed, called The Broken Promise, outlines what exactly that means to the industry. There are several videos in circulation to help increase awareness such as: Save Horse Racing Movie, Harness Dilemma, and Faces of Fort Erie just to name a few. I have also composed a personal piece that explains how this ill-thought out decision impacts my family and I. It is entitled Into The Unknown. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them. I'll do my best to get you an answer. Time is running out, we need the Ontario Liberal Government to reverse their decision and re-instate the SARP. If you are an Ontario resident, please contact the Minister of Agriculture (Kathleen Wynne) to voice your concerns as well as your MPP.
