I just bought a really amazing Arabian Saddlebred Cross, he is a wonderful jumper and has done almost every level of pony club, He is turning 13 in April and I have only owned him for just over a month and already I love him to death and could never part with him!! I have loved arabians my whole life so owning even a cross is like a dream come true.

I was born and bred on the Arabian circuit in Ontario, Canada. My mom was first introduced to them as a teenager and worked with Chris Wade (*Ranix before he went to Bazy Tankersley/Al Marah) and Stewart Bennet (Scottsdale Farm/ importer of many horses of the *Indian prefex and the *Rissalix line).

Since then we have always had Purebred and Partbred Arabians. Currently we only have 1 Purebred (27 year old stallion Kintyre El Mateus) and 6 Partbreds.

We found that breeding Partbreds was more successful for us as we didn't have the money to get fabulous mares and then afford the stud fees to the best stallions. We've had Welsh crosses, National Show Horses, Hackney Horse crosses and coming back full circle to the Welsh cross in breeding Sport Ponies.

We have participated in almost every discipline in mainring and open circuit. Right now we are competing in Competitive Trail and Endurance as well as promoting the Sport Ponies.

Our farm is currently home to 2 Half-Arabian National Champions, 5 National Top Tens and have bred a 3 time Reserve National Champion (and 7 Top Tens). We are just a small mom-and-daughter operation that have strived to do the best with our horses.

we have 3 purebred arabs (a 3 and 4 year old filly and a 3 year old stud colt) and a 3 year old partbred filly. I have a T-bred mare who will be bred to a beautiful black arab stallion this year (please see Windstar Destiny at polarpintabians.com). I train and show arabs in halter and sport horse, in hand and under saddle with much success. Arabs are so natural in dressage!!! I also have some warmbloods that I compete with on the open circuit. My crowning highlight was training an old anglo arab gelding to Intermediare level dressage! He was a natural!

Hi group! I have a 12 year old arab mare named Amira whom I just love to death. We compete in competitive trail and endurance riding and just love to mosey down the trail.

While arabs are my first love, I also have a TB mare but it's my arab who owns my heart...and she KNOWS IT!!!

oh good an arab group!

i am lucky enough to have my very own arabian cross...
jack is my 3/4 arabian gelding, just four years he had his first show season and it was amazing to see him out there!
he is a real personality, and i love him to pieces, he is sligtly spoiled yes though he deserves it...
jack is out of gold krugerand and is my hunter pleasure horse, anyways

Hello all...I have an Arabian Sport Horse Stallion, Alada Clairion, (grandson of Alada Baskin) and sadly lost my beautiful mare Jan08, who was a Huckleberry Bey granddaughter.....both special personalities, and have won over non-arabian hearts many times!! lol

I have had Tango for 14 months. She is the first horse I have owned since I was a kid. She is a 14 year old registered 3/4 Arab - with some QH/Saddlebred mixed in. She's a real tryer and has a very sweet personality. If you would like to know more about who we are, where we live, ect. this is our website

This is my third Arab that has been in my life over the last 6 years. Two I leased at the barns I was riding at. Then we bought Tango last summer. She has been such a joy and is truly a member of our family! And I agree....the more time you spend with an Arab, the better it gets ...... for the horse and for me!

Hi Group,
I was pleased to see this group on Barnmice. I have owned only Arabs / part-Arabs. My current horse is Gideon, 19 y.o. 3/4 Arab gelding. The one thing I know for sure about Arabs is that they need far more human contact than any other breed, and that they get better and better the more human companionship they get. This is a breed that developed while living IN the tents of Bedouins in the Arabian countries, and while it's true that they need other horses around, they need to be close to people who understand Arabs in order to become fully confident as horses.

Unfortunately many horse people do not understand Arabian psychology, so these magnificent horses are labelled "stupid" and are believed to be untrustworthy. In fact, they are highly intelligent and have a strong sense of self-preservation which was valued by the Bedouin, because the horse would save its rider in saving itself.

"Stupid'? I could tell you stories! Gideon is so smart I have to keep one step ahead of him in the training, or he's leading ME around by the nose! But once he's obeying, he's absolutely predictable, and has spirit and fire as well. Gotta love those Arabs!
