I'm happy to say that I've ordered my new saddle, so hopefully it suits the two of us better.

Kwanita - what a lovely name!!

I have no doubt that God brought my mare and me together.  I have learned so much about her and about myself in the three years that I've owned her.  We still struggle with me being a push-over and her not listening to me, but I am taking lessons (far away from home, so I'm not able to take her with me) to help me feel more confident both on the ground and in the saddle.  I pray for wisdom and guidance and perserverance, especially on days when things don't go so well.

I love that we can praise God for the smallest of things.  Even though it seems like a possession and a luxury to want a saddle for example, the saddle is a much needed tool in looking after the most beautiful of Gods creation the horse.  Certainly, there is bareback riding and bridleless but there are times when the tools of a bridle and saddle are much needed. Thankfully God knows this and provides for the needs of his creation :-)))

Hello all,

I just wanted to thank you again for praying about my saddle situation.  I am happy to announce that I sold it and all the accesories (still waiting for payment on one item), and I am able to order my new saddle!!  God is good!!

Great advice, Cindy!  It inspired me too.

Lexi, I'll be praying for you.

ahah thanks. my dad is no longer a pastor, but there is still that expectation from other people from when he was....also my grandpa was a respected pastor and counsellor in our town, and a few uncles and an aunt or two have been or are pastors. i go to a church of about 3000 people, and i know almost all of them. it has been quite a while since i have really stuggled with tyring to fill that image....but it is always there. thanks so much for your prayer

You have a ton of pressure being a pastor's kid, I have known many, there is always that expectation from others to be "perfect" and if you do anything a little off or normal in the world's eyes you get criticized. Often you feel the temptation to go with the status quo and then feel terribly guilty when you do.  I don't know what has happened but I do know you are struggling to be your own person.  God understands that you need to apply what you have learned from Him and your parents. That's what teenagers do, I just hope your not to hard on your parents, don't worry about God, He can handle it he's been through lots of teens so don't be hard on yourself either.  None of us get to be perfect till we meet God face to face so quit trying so hard, just be YOU when you discover who you really are :-)) Take care, big prayers going up for you and I know He's listening :-)  It might help your parents if you could share with them how being a pastor's kid feels, there are ways of opening the subject without freaking them out.  Be sure to pray first for God to give you the right words.

thanks you. right now with my senor high group we are studying the holy spirit. i am trying hard to grasp it and learn from it. i know for sure that things will get better, however it sure is hard. i have often stuggled with beign the 'always-good-and-perfect-pastors-kid' who everyone knows. i know that God is near, and right now i feel as though we are sitting across a big table from each other, just waiting for the other one to speak...and every once and a while one does....we make small talk then go back to jsut staring at each other. i am trying really hard to climbout though... prayer would be great :) thank you all
