I feel so blessed that I can earn a living as an equine photographer, because if God created anything more beautiful than the horse... He kept it for Himself

Europe would be the perfect place to go for that! I took riding lessons there and on an outride the one time, I rode past a amous old castle! :) Can't remember what it was called though. It was big and yellow.

Sounds like you have fun Christmas plans, Nicola! I think that a farm is a wonderful place to spend the holidays!

My family would love to visit Europe someday. We'd like to visit some castles and other historic sites.

I guess I should've said that I am not going to the Ukraine for Christmas...but that would be fun. My mom lives in Canada, just like me, but I live in Southwestern Ontario and she lives in Manitoba. We're hoping that the sky is clear while we're there so we can show our kids Northern Lights. That usually means it also has to be cold out...which could very well happen :o/

I go to Europe where there's snow but in South Africa the only snow is on the really high mountains. U can see them from a spot at my riding school if u go on an outride!:) Or we stay at home (seldom) and my fave place is the farm, where I'm going this yr. Even the animals celebrate! The horses and dogs get a shiny gold or silver piece of tinsil tied loosely around their necks... :) I think I am a Catholic. But I'm most definately Christian! :) =]

Since Christmas is quickly approaching, I'm just wondering if there are any special customs or traditions that you enjoy. Do you get snow where you live?

My kids are 17 and "almost" 15, and when they were younger they used to sleep "under" our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. Made it hard to stuff the stockings, but we always managed to do it. They still do it for old times sake once in a while :o)

We decorate our Christmas tree, and put lights up outside. We usually have a 'traditional' meal of turkey, stuffing, etc.. I am Ukrainian, and am thrilled that we'll be visiting my mom this year and she's making us a traditional Ukrainian dinner. I'd better wear elastic-waist pants!! LOL

We usually have snow on the ground for Christmas. Sometimes we do make it to church for the Christmas Eve service, but not always.

Hi ladies!

It has been quiet in here, hasn't it? Guess it's up to us to keep things going for now, until others are able to join us :o)

I am thankful for this group too. It's so nice to know that there is someplace we can come where we can share our praise and ask for prayer. There are many times that I am so very thankful to God for the time I've been able to spend with my mare, or times when I've seen evidence of God's presence with us, and we can share it in here and the people will understand that it's a "God thing" :o)
