Right now I'm preparing a Lighthorse show for our local fall fair the Bulkley Valley Exhibition. This is my second year as their horse show manager and it is a big job. When I was invited to do this job I prayed and asked God first before I gave them my decision and I tell you He hasn't failed me yet. Oh I get bogged down with paperwork and sorting out the details, coordinating people and 5 rings, finding sponsorships and volunteers, going over entries with my show secretary and data entry clerk. I stay up too late, don't get to see my horses at all except out the window, let alone my family. Good thing the kids are grown and out most of the time. But hubby and I don't have a lot of time together. But I know that through Him my strength will come and I know He will go before me and pave the way, He will protect me from my enemies and when it's all said and done He will get all the Glory. When it's all said and done I'm going for a nice long trail ride.

Amen Cyndi!!!!! That is exactly it! I was listening to 100 Huntley Street a few weeks ago and there was an interview with a Christian artist. He is a painter and he express his worship in his paintings. He also mentioned how God didn't intend for our paintings and sketches to be excluded from worship anywhere, especially the church.

As for Lexi's question about how we worship...hmm...I've been pondering that since I read the post yesterday.

I certainly can't sing, though I wish I could, but I do enjoy listening to Christian music a lot...and if I'm alone in the car I will sing along with the cd.

I rarely sketch pictures anymore, but that was a form of worship. Same with sewing. Actually, I tend to use a lot of things that I do with my hands as praise and worship. I guess I'm the strong silent type. lol I enjoy being outside and enjoying creation. My heart sings and my head is full of praise :o)

Hi Leanne :o)

I live in St. Thomas, so we've got some distance between us. lol We share a nice big province though!

I do natural horsemanship too. Actually, my horse is coming home tomorrow from two months of training. Only one more sleep!! I've been attending two training sessions a week with her since the second week of May, so things are going well. According to our trainer, we have a great relationship, and I am looking more confident with the groundwork. This is my first horse (I got her when I turned 40) and I've had her a little over a year. I started out doing natural horsemanship with her, but I was in a bad barn situation (one person made my life miserable), lost my confidence, and let things slide to the point where my horse lost her confidence as well.

But God is good, and He has led us to a wonderful new barn and a great trainer and we are making huge progress. I took riding lessons over the winter, stopped in March because of scheduling, then started up again a couple of weeks ago. I will continue with lessons for a long time.

I'm like Lexi I sing all the time and I find the horses really like it. That's the thing about worship it can be done anytime, anywhere. There are so many ways to worship and Lexi hit on a bunch. Even our work can be an act of worship, playing an instrument, riding our horses, sharing God's Word all acts of worship. So worship on everyone!

about worshiping God....I tend to sing to God alot....and I also like to go and find a quiet spot and just "be still" and enjoy God's Amazing creation!
I used to play the flute...I might pick it up again one of these days :)

Hey Cindy!
That's cool! Where are you from in Ontario?...If you want to share.
I am in the Haliburton/Minden area...I also know one of the leaders of "Youth for Christ" in my area....I never thought of using that connection before, great idea!
I train using Natural Horsemanship so I also planning on doing some lessons for people and horses on the side for some experience.

Hello! Hey, I'v got a new question, but it's more general. How do you worship? Do you worship through pray, singing dancing. How do you worship God? For me, I love to sing, and I will get up in the morrning and I start singing any christian worship song that comes to my head first. I sing when I have to vacume, I sing when I am with my horses. Ising praise and worship songs ALL the time, even in the car, even at school. I sing whenever I want to bring glory to the Lord. How about you guys??
