Comment by Mary Ginn on December 17, 2009 at 11:21am: When I get in the saddle (especially after an extended time) it feels like coming home. There are days I wouldn't get out of bed if it weren't for the horse chores! They are my recreation, my exercise, but mostly my therapists!

Comment by Cyndi on November 14, 2009 at 6:03pm: I've had my mare (my first horse ever!) for about a year-and-a-half. I have to board her and have experienced some really unpleasant people in the past year. The most recent was the barn owner of the last barn I was at. Long story, but he asked me to leave and in the process he said some horrendously hurtful words to me. My self-confidence took a real kicking, but I'm slowly coming back. I've always had low self-esteem, but being with horses has always made me feel good inside. It's been a life-long dream to have my own horse, and I was 40 when I finally got my sweet mare. She is seven. I look forward to many happy years with her.

It's a constant challenge to train my youngest mare, Bella, but when we make little achievements, my world seems to go right again :) I should have Mirabella for years to come, seeing as she's only six :D
