This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

What an adorable new baby!
Thank you Dayle! I too was wondering who was who. Hope the pic is clear enough so I can get it from your line up.
Felina is due April 2nd and she is in the first stall and paddock with Picaboo, the spotted donkey, who is due April 15th. In the second stall and paddock are Shimmy, who is due April 9th, and her best friend Pony-Tail Lass or PTL who is not in foal and never will be as she was born without a tail or anus. She has a man-made anus. In the third paddock back (their stall does not have a cam) are Dolly, due April 1st, Hoopla, due April 17th, and Sweetie, frosted white, due April 15th. As they show signs of being close they will be moved to a full time barn cam in stall and paddock. If you get confused you can always visit our brood jennet page here: http://minidonks.com/Our_Herd_Jennets.html We have them lined up from top to bottom by when we suspect they will foal. So sometimes we change the line up. We also post photos of their bags and teats when they are closer. Thanks for watching!
Dayle,
Any chance you could give us an estimate of who is due next and what date? Also, I feel disrespectful but I don't know who is in what stall. I get it that the weather outside there is frightful.. lol Just be glad you aren't in the Boston area tonight and tomorrow... We shovel...and I don't mean mucking stalls either. lol
Thanks
These little donkeys are the cutest creatures I've ever had the pleasure to watch. Thank you.
We handle them daily but they are born very docile and stay that way if never mistreated. I have an outside video of the new baby posted here:
Do you handle the babies early on to desensitize them or are they generally docile from birth?
very cute name...Bumblelina..
LOL...yes they do and first time mom's are more lenient with them. The stricter the moms the better behaved the babies. Bumbles is spoiling her! I think we are going to name her Bumblelina or Bumble Lina...what do you think?
I am learning a lot ab out little donkeys. I see they like to pester their moms and make them upset just like little horses do. LOL
