That is interesting heather. I thought she was bearing down the night before. She gave about 2 what looked like pushes from here, then rolled over on her back and got up and that was the end of that.

Congratulations on the new additions,  I missed it again...I stayed up late last night and thought for sure she'd have it.  I did expect to see her so glad she made it safe and sound.

Congratulations on a beautiful filly. I thought Precious might be in labor last night but I was tired and went to bed. Glad it worked out well for you. She's a beauty like her mommy. Very similar markings too.

I paid no attention to when she foaled.  I was focused solely on them, sorry.

Ooh! I missed it again! What time did she foal? The filly is as usual gorgeous and very very cute! May God bless you, your ranch and all your horses and foals!  n_n

Thank you as always.  I went down to scoop poop not anticipating that she would foal with me there.  I knew she was uncomfy but wow!

Babies back right leg was tucked up and coming with her.  It wasn't until Precious rolled up on her back that we got the leg back where it belonged and out popped her filly.

I haven't fully decided but I'm pretty sure her name will be Mulligans Run Dreams Latigo N Lace after my favorite mare Latigo who passed in 2006.  Precious was her best friend...but then, everyone was Latigo's best friend.  It's a touch subject still so we'll see.  I may change my mind when I wake, but it's unlikely at this point.

Off to sleep....filly has nursed great on her own.  I have people coming in at 9 so we'll be back at the barn.

Oh - because of the position during delivery, the filly's hind right leg is windswept.  Just an FYI.

Always call first.  And I am home!  WHEW!  Only have to run to the ATm quick in a bit, but I am home.

I am home Heather and will check her periodically. Hope all goes well for you on all fronts. You have become a special part of my life. Should we post here or call Shannon's cell if we see her bearing down?

Precious is testing ready on the refractometer and extremely close (still a hint of green) on the test strips.  I have her in and she is already out flat. Unfortunately I have a full day in and out with legal.  NOT HAPPY.  Shannon is right around the corner but will need ample heads up as there is always a delay in the feed.

Precious was only bred one week so by our calculations she is over the 300 day mark but still a bit early.  We have had mares foal at 280 and do just fine - they are all different.

Ace is on cam #2 and is in and out so she can see her buddy.  Precious foaled during the day last year if I remember correctly.  I think it was storming then or cold....I remember pacing outside the barn.
