I was sure when I got home from work I'd see a baby with Pearl...

Oh my--she's going to keep me up again tonight!!!

Barbara they value "freedom of speech" so, no.  I report as much as i can (copyright stuff) but that's the best I can do until they slander or libel.

Pearl is doing great...moving along but we haven't been able to test her.  Her bag is big..bigger than Sadie's was when she foaled.  She was acting up pretty good last night - enough to put her on full cam - which she is - on Cam #2.    We appreciate the eyes!

Susie is doing great.  This is her first night with no blanket.  It's about 65 degrees here so we hope she can maintain that temp.

Eve is progressing as is Dancer. Abby has nothing but is a maiden so not sure she will give any signs.

It's so sad that the crazies of the world have to ruin it for everyone else.  You know, I saw Bowling for Columbine the other day and was shocked that Canada does not have the social problems we have here.  People there are not nearly as heartless and vengeful as Americans.  Or other countries for that matter.  I am considering heading up North!  Of course that does not solve the cyberbully problem at all.

Can comments not be moderated at all to protect all farms involved in sharing their foaling experiences?

Just wondering how Pearl is doing? I watched for a while this morning (UK) & she seemed about to burst, hope all is well?

I'll agree with that.  It makes no sense.

Well, knowing Steph personally, and knowing the things that have been going on, I don't agree.  She has more horses in that pasture (I believe) than those five and how did they get into the lady's yard and shut the gate behind them?  Makes no sense.

DEFINITELY "cyber bullying."  It should be illegal.  I hope some day soon it is.

That said, I really do think her horses just got out on their own.  If you read the newspaper story I just cannot see that it could have possibly happened any other way.  If no one else could see in that dense of fog  how would horse thieves be able to see in it?  Other things just don't add up.  I can see how she would THINK someone stole them (especially with everything else that has gone on lately) but I think they simply got out.

There is a horrid forum out there that believes in free speech, which I do as well..as long as it doesn't harm others.  They have just torn Elements apart for her foaling practices because they feel mares should not be helped.  They have started tearing apart many of the farms that they watch because they can. They hide behind a veil of anonymity and it makes them feel brave.

One person posted that they (the poster) have stolen foals before and if they wished they were closer.

It's all very disturbing...definitely a case of cyber bullying in my opinion.

On to better subjects.....Laurie - your question on the minis having more issues foaling.  It's a pet peeve of mine because I hear people say "I won't watch a mini foal. They always have problems."   I will admit that they have issues, but the big horses have issues as well.  We have had our share of bad foalings and hopefully we have learned from them.

Sometimes things are just not meant to be, but sometimes we can get in there and correct things.   This is also why we are so pro-active when they start foaling.  We could sit back and let them do all the work, but if there is a problem or the foal gets 1/2 way out and is stuck - it's a whole lot harder to fix and have a live foal if you wait too long.

Hope that helps :)  I will answer any questions you have :)
