This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Ok, thanks, lets hope Freedom's Song foals soon, I like tired of waiting, lol, soooooo impatient
Yes the horse we are watching is due any day. she is a mini but I am not sure of the exact type of mini she is. No one knows exactly when she got pregnant since she was pasture bred. Horses in general need 300 days minimum for the foal to be viable. some here have gone closer to 350 days. The is not Blessed Be she had her foal in winter. If you look at Heather's post her name is Freedom's Song. there will be another one soon Her name is Ace.
Is the mare we are currently watching, pregnant? Is that Blessed, sorry, cannot keep up plus I joined not too long ago so...... anyway, what breed of horse is she, and when did she get pregnant? Could someone please post an answer so I am not in the dark anymore, I have asked questions before, but no one answers them, so could someone answer these questions for me? n_n thanks a bunch! n_n !
Thank you Heather. She looked a bit closer to me by her behavior and her bag is big enough it shows when she swishes her tail. Hope all goes well. I am keeping an eye on her.
Just a quick update that Freedom's Song is progressing quickly. She is now at 24 on the refractometer and 6.8 on the Maybe Baby test strips! She's moving along.....
Ace is building a nice bag as well. Who would have thought we would be foaling this time of year? At least they have fans....
she sure is enjoying that A/C, she's just standing there letting it blow in her face. :)
Song is restless tonight. Nipping at herself and rubbing/pushing her tail against the stall a lot.
A/C is good incentive to stay in when it is hot out!
On another note - Song is progressing....she is 16 on the refractometer and down to approx 7 on the Maybe Baby Test Strips! I put an A/C unit on her stall front this morning. She should be quite comfy.
The puppy is Serenity- one of our rescue pups. She was homed - and brought back SICK I was so angry - she was malnourished, sick...spent $300 getting her right again. Her new owners will be here tomorrow to take her home. :) She's beautiful....german shepherd mix.
