Yes vet watched the birth and the replay.  She did drop the placenta fast which seemed similar to a redbag to me.  In our experience redbags are more painful for the mare.  Temp is normal.  We are on with the vet now.

No prob, Mark, I've double posted before too when my computer stuck :0)  As far as I know, all was well with the placenta. I talk to Heather and Shannon everyday and that has never been a concern. I'm sure when Heather gets a moment she can explain better. :0)

sorry if a repost. My last post didn't seem to post......did the vet watch the youtube video? The placenta looked incomplete to me. We always "bag it", stretch it out and inspect it for completeness. Tilly dropped her's awfully fast and it didn't look complete to me. Hope she's feelin better. Their too cute

Mark ~ They have been in contact with the vet before, during and after the birth. She is also watching on cam. They also do inspect every mares placenta. :0)

Sending prayers that Tilly gets to feeling more comfy soon and yes they are absolutely adorable! Tilly is one of the sweetest mares!

Tilly is probably thinking how much she would love a warm bran mash.

Poor Tilly, hope she stops cramping some time soon. She still looks really really uncomfortable. This is I guess where the cams really come in handy for monitoring. x

I have to wonder that too.  Tilly is still painful and is being observed closely by our vet.  I hate seeing her painful.  Not sure we've had one this dramatic for this long.  Thank goodness for the cams because our vet is monitoring and advising.
