Knowing nothing about horses I want to ask this.  On the Bandy mare is it typical for that much human activity after the birth of a foal?  The mare seemed easily distracted by it all when I thought she should be bonding.  I was just very surrpised by all the human interference.  Is that  typical?

The owners are there and aware and will intervene if needed.  I'm not sure what her background is. I was told she's not a maiden...so not sure.

the quarter horse mare definately seems to be kicking out a lot...is there a reason for that?

The problem with posting that here Hayley is that you can't tell what cam that's for and it will get buried.  It's good to get in the habit of locating the numbers on the cam page :)  and there are sometimes twitter boxes under the cams that have additional contact information as well.

I just saw the posts about the baby at Bandy Paints & Quarter Horses.  There are phone numbers at the top of every cam page and the owners can be called and notified.  You can also register on the Mare Stare forum and enter the chat room to grab a moderator if you can't call.  Never hurts to call if you can...and I realize that you can't all call if you are international.  Just some options. :)

What type of storm are you due heather?  Snow, rain, gales etc?

i hope your nap has helped a bit.  i recall those 'quick naps' very well, it will all be worth it in the end though x

Had a bit of a nap - not terribly long, but every little bit helps.  We are getting ready for the storm that we are supposed to get.    Hping the weather men are wrong and it passes us by.  We have alot of trees overhanging the barn and if they start breaking and falling on the roof it could be very noisey for Miss Tilly.

We left Tess in for the night so she has a companion.  Nothing has really changed except her milk is a bit stickier.  And we are a few days older...and tireder LOL.  I'm sure the end result will be worth it.
