I have to say I've enjoyed watching Gambit! He is so full of it. A typical boy! And mom is just so laid back! Very cool to have this to watch.

I never thought about the possibility that a mare would reject their foal, probably because none of ours have, but it does make sense.. thats so sad. but I am sure it will all work out, I hope it will!

I wouldn't think that we could try to put Journey with Tonja if he's a week old. He would be much stronger than her new foal, plus her new foal would need the colostrum much more than Journey would. It's a touchy situation, hopefully we will succeed. Either way he is in good hands :) Bottle feeding is something we have done before but not our favorite option.
