no, the mares that are in now (blessed be and rowdy) will be moved to the main barn for breakfast. Once those two stalls are empty we can bring in the moms and babies. So we don't put the babies with new mares.

Tonja is ready...just needs to share her foal.

I thought I had missed Blessed Be foaling. So some of the babies go in with a different mare?

How does Tonia look for tonight?

No, Blessed Be is still pregnant. We bring the mares & babies in 2 times a day so don't let them fool you.

Louise - we use the predicta foal kits from Jefferes Equine. You take so many cc's of milk, add in distilled water (measured) then dip the test strip in. Five Squares is as high as you can go. They are normally very accurate, but occassionally you have one that doesn't pay attention to the tests :)

Can I ask what type of testing you use? I am assuming when you say five squares...it must be a piece of paper that you add the mare urine? How accurate is it? Sorry out of the loop on new technology :)

Hey Chris,Heather thinks that Ace and Eve are close ,but Pearl and Dancer can also go anytime! Wait till you see your first foaling,you'll be hooked,it's soooooo addictive you can't stop watching!!!!

Yes it is! I didn't see the foal all evening or early this morning when I got up. I'm glad to see it back. Now I just want to see one going into labor. Who is next to go?
