We have them starting at $500 and have sold some for as much as $40,000. Yes, it all depends on the quality,

I know this is probably a difficult question to answer Heather, but how much does a weanling filly go for? I understand it depends on many variables, but would like a ballpark figure. Thanks

Well...just as I posted that, my daugther, Shannon changed the cam. We can only see cam #1 in our living room so we wanted to be able to see Charm as she's closer than Sadie.

The 2nd cam has Charm...she is owned by Kelly @ Sacred Heart Farm and we are foaling her out for her and rebreeding her.

Sadie is in Ace's spot. Sadie is also an outside mare and I want her owner to have the best view possible with no buffering so I have her on the main cam.

Ace and Wishy are on cam #3...yes...we had to set up another barn, but we are havng some internet issues with that set of cams so that's why Sadie is on a more reliable system.

Ace and Wishy are on cam #3 - http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=mrun3

Hey Heather, where is Ace? Is that her in cam 2 and who is in the stall she was in? I noticed you where testing the mares about an hr. ago, anyone close?

Just saw 3 mares with their tails braided,I guess they have tested close to foaling?Where is Wishy and is that still Dancer in the 2nd cam?

Hey Heather, I saw you guys pull a hair from the tail, and tie something to it, and swing it over the horses. Are you trying to determine the sex of the foal? Who's going next? I haven't seen Pearl before. Is she close?

Oh my golly - lots of questions....

Elizabeth - we hand breed for the most part. We did pasture breed for one month last year but we teased our mares weekly and we have dates on all of them. They are all registered or double registered. And miniatures are a "height" breed. Any horse that is 38" or under can be registered as a miniature horse.

Pat - we do pre-sell babies (in utero) but we don't have any spoken for yet this year. We wean at 3 - 4 months depending on how the foal and the mom are doing.
Rach - Ace's belly is very large indeed. She will be moved to a larger stall as she gets closer. We have foaled in those stalls with no probem but it's not what we like to do. We will hopefully have another couple of cams up this evening...we are digging trenches right now. :)

We are in South Carolina. We sweep the shavings aside to allow everything to dry while the mares are out. Everytone is outside today. It's sunny and 57 degrees.
