Do they usually stay standing or lay down to give birth or does it just depend on the mare and how she's feeling?

Yes Sihouette has had foals before - she is not a maiden. Rolling is not uncommon during a foaling. Rolling up on the back is not something we like to see, but she has stopped so she was likely getting the baby into position or just in discomfort from the foal pressing on a nerve. We are watching :)

Yes, they will break water and everything should happen VERY quickly after that happens.
