just trying to get a feel as to where they are at right now. Probably right, maidens dont always follow the rules.

Great news! Cause for celebration!!.

Kitty also acts more like she is close to delivery but you are right time will tell.

they are both maidens so not sure how much they will bag up and follow the rules.  Kitty is a month off and has a larger bag than Temptation.  time will tell.

on another note, the necropsy results are in and they believe there was a blood clot thrown in the umbilical cord lr a twist in the cord...ie ...umbilical cord trauma.  notning viral, etc, so that was great news!

Any of them bagging up or showing any signs? I know they still have some time left.

Well I will breathe a sigh of relief when we have the final determination, but it's looking like it was umbilical trauma.  We'll see...

Thank you for the New Years wishes.

We have moved horses around again.  Maybe and Fancy are back with the herd and the pregnant girls are around the barn.  There may be some squabbling....just let me know if anything seems to be getting out of hand.

Happy New Year,

Heather and Mulligans Run,

I too was relieved to learn that it wasn't one of those dreaded diseases that can impact a breeding program.

Looking forward to term babies!

Glad to hear the cause was not more sinister. Happy New Year to all.

No as we felt it was just a fluke.

I'm sure it is helping to know why this foal was lost. Esp since it is pointing the finger to something that has nothing to do with genetics or illness.  Did you have the previous foal aborted necropsied?

And Fancy wasn't due until April. We don't breed to foal this early, or "late".
