Fancy is on antibiotics just as a precaution, but she is doing great. She won't be reared until February at the earliest. We are till waiting on results of the necropsy. Preliminary reports showed trauma at the umbilical cord from twisting. This would make sense since the cord was snapped in the center. We will keep you posted as we are informed.

Doesnt hurt to give their bodies time to recover.

If Fancy is clear can't she be re-bred now? She would foal next spring instead of winter.

They should be outside.  I need to switch that cam to an outside cam - we've been busy all morning.

I see Temptation's door is shut. Do you want her to enjoy the nice wether or did the wind blow it shut?

Hope your bronchitus is better today. That can be nasty. I just got over something like that. I see whoever chored let the girls out but now that she can go out Temptation isn't near as eafer to get there. LOL

The dogs have been raising Cain. I am not sure because I see nothing when I go out and check.

Temptation is restless tonight. Seems to have a great interest in the gate that goes out. Is there anything out there to make her restless or is she just uncomfortable?

She wasn't due until April (approx).  Foal looks fine, but the necropsy will help us determine if something was a miss (virus, etc).  It may be for the best.  She was a maiden and hasn't grieved or even acted like anything was wrong.
