This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

She doesn't seem to be upset or ill. I don't see any discharge (you did say top left), that smacks of spontanious, how far along was she?
Oh no! Heather I'm so sorry. I hoped she was in for a good reason like close to due.
Vet on way - Fancy just aborted. Two in a month....worried. Will have necropsy on foal in morning. Right now we need to clean out Fancy. She's top left on the screen.
Looks like Temptation is having a "bad hair" day!LOL
Heathr for what it is worth I have to agree with you on the added leg length unless the whole horse is also proportionally smaller.
Johnny has such an elegant head formation. Deep jaw, wide between the eyes and a delicater well shaped muzzle. I love it!!
I just saw the question on the "ridable". Miniatures are a "height" registry. The AMHA only allows registration up to 34" at the last mane hair. The AMHR allows registration up to 38" at the last mane hair. Alot of AMHR horses are also registered as shetlands, which is a blood registry. The Shetlands can get tall enough to ride I believe.
Johnny, Maybe, Kitty, and Fancy are all AMHR/ASPC (Shetland) Along with a weanling filly we acquired this year.
I personally prefer the AMHR/ASPC as the registry is more relaxed and fun, plus the horses seem more elegant with the increase in the leg. Just my opinion.
Well the term "Superior Sire" is actually an earned title. He has had so many offspring earn Hall of Fame Status that he is earned the title of "Superior Sire". And no, he is solid Palomino and you never see him. He has a paddock up by the top of the mare pasture. Where he can view the girls from his end of the world. Dream is at the other end of the pasture - far away. LOL Keeps them happier.
Is this the little guy with the odd white spot on the rump? I've seen miniatures all around where I live here above San Francisco, some of them are show horses also. Your miniatures are so very superior, They truly look like miniatures and not ponies. Are there mistakes that produce larger miniatures that are rideable, or is the action different? In the arena their action looks great.
