This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

I can't believe that big baby fit into Ace's stomach.
Ace sure got her shape back in a hurry (and it looks like her voracious appetite is back too LOL)
She is picking up every little peice of hay she can find.
Sorry to say I missed this one. My line has been acting up every time we have a rain so I got knocked off for the event. Just got back on. congratulations on the most gorgeous colt I have ever seen. His coloring is great. He does know how to throw his weight around too already. Poor mom almost goes flying when he nurses. He is just to beautiful for words.
Ace's foals have statistically been big. She just seems to grow them larger than most moms. And I love the taller minis.
I amend my question to , in comparison to their mother the newborns look so much bigger. and beautiful dish on the little ones head, he is lovely. Is the father a pinto/paint?
Wooohoo what a lively little foal. Quite a contrast from seeing the birth this morning and now watching such a lively little thing!! :)
He is gorgeous! Of course she would have him after I went to bed. lol
But glad he is here and what a stunning boy he is! Love the name for him as well.
I am amazed at how big the foals are at birth, I can't imaging the tight confines they were in and how uncomfortable the mothers were. Is it my imagination or are mini foals large at birth and then stay small horses? I've had many full sized foals and they didn't look as big as your newborns for at least a week or more.
Love your baby, Ace. Well worth the waiting. Congratulations!!!
What a wonderful surprise to wake up to a gorgeous new colt...but Ace what have you done to your tail?
