This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Dayle has been kind enough to allow us to peek into her barn this foaling season since I have no babies arriving at my farm this year. Here is her lineup... 1) HHAA Bumbles - Due January ??, 2014 (separated from jack Feb. 24th, 2013)2)…Continue

Yip! No straw, no braiding. Of course she doesn't care if her tail is braided or her bedding is straw. If she wants to, and is ready, then VOILA! I've heard that barometric pressure can trigger labour, if she is ready. Is there a storm coming down there?
But wait, ...she hasn't been to the hair dresser yet either. That's a clue I always look for in Mulligans Run girlies.
I guess she was just really hungry!
I don't think it's expected tonight....just saw more shavings going into the stall. We usually see straw going in when birth is imminent.
She looks like she is getting ready! :)
Tail up and pawing looks highly promising\
Generally speaking, how long does labour last for a mini?
Looks like Ace might be in labor. she's not her usual placid self. Kicking a lot and generally restless.
Hope all turns out well. I will be praying for Chantilly and for you ladies.
Hope this foal stays put until she can survive.I have also been quiet but I am watching.
