Eve has been pretty consistent with foaling around her due date. She had her first foal at 320 days in 2010, she went 321 days in 2011 and her due date is 2/16. She may just hold out until her due date next week.

What is/was Eve's due date?

We have a sneaky mare like that. Went into the house for a hot cup of tea - bam. There's the foal coming out when we got back. Her 2nd time foal was in the stall with her in the morning 2 weeks before her due date. 3rd time had it in the paddock while I sent to the washroom a week before her due date. But at least she has not had an issue and the foals are all nursing right away!

Years ago we were awaiting a foal and were sleeping in the barn center hall outside the stall to be there just in case. We were all so excited, the children and a couple of friends, we were up late staring at the mare. We all woke next morning and found Mom and Foal standing there staring at us. We never heard a thing.

This mare is so adorable! We've been watching her for days, but I noticed she is doing the up and down tail swat so maybe tonight?

It is very addicting. Glad I am a stay at home wife/step-mom. I get to spend time watching these lovely horses. :)

The outside cam is a bit loose and the wind tends to decide where it points.  You are seeing the back of our house (at night when the light is on that's my office).  You see the dog kennel, fire pit for buring our trees that fall...and a portion of the front of the barn.  I'll see what I can do to remember to turn it later.

ROFL...love it.  It's addicting isn't it?
