I love how animals sense these things. I was afraid to go to bed (time difference). Eve is sleeping now...

p.s. Katherine, for once it is NOT freezing here in Toronto! We've had the strangest winter. It was 10c today and sunny! Usually, it's minus 10c!

I'm afraid to go eat dinner! Is her tail braided yet? I can't tell.

The cat has a front row seat for when the foal arrives. :) Lucky kitty!

Oh Eve, please give us a baby today! :)

The funny thing about that cat is that he shows up when mares are close.  There are two that are brothers...the one you see is a shorthair and he is called "Dash". We don't mind seeing him in the stalls.  His brother is Crash  - a long hair cat and he shows up when things are going to be difficult or bad.  Honestly...this has been the pattern that we have picked up, so we don't care to see the long haired tabby in the stalls or outside the mare's doors.

We also have a long haired black cat named Lexus. She is fine...not a predictor of anything except that the food bowl is empty.

Aw, she's resting, with a kitty cat on the watch!

Eve is in for the day for a couple of reasons.  #1 - the weather is threatening to turn bad...it's very cold here and it's threatening rain, so I prefer she stay in for the day.  Also, she has made some quick changes on the refractometer and the milk test strips.  She's closing in....

Yes! It is freezing in the Netherlands, still have snow on the ground. At my stable we only have a outside dressagetraining, uh thing... Sorry don't know the English word for it. But we have fibres through the sand, so we are able to do some light trying. (if I wasn't sick ;) )

Is it freezing for everyone else?

Yeah, I found MareStare last year during our local Donkey farm's foaling and got nothing accomplished around the house for 3 days.  Then she had the baby at 4am.  DOH!
