@ Bobbie: Its because the cam's aren't ready yet. Heather said once she sends the new code to the Barbara the cams will be ready.

So we just have to wait. :)

I can NOT wait. I want to see some new little cute faces. :)

How come i can't view the mare stare camera live..????

Comment by Heather Troglauer on November 30, 2011 at 6:50am

Absolutely!  It is actually up now and I need to get the code change to Barbara.  We have installed new servers so there is just one little change needed and the cam will be up and running.

We will have at least two quads (8 cams) again this year - possibly 10 cams....we shall see.

We appreciate you joining us in the barn!  We have 15 of our own to foal, two outside mares so far, and then all the Aloha mares.  There are approx 15 of those as well. It will be a busy time as always and your eyes are very much welcome and appreciated.

Happy Holidays!

The Mare Stare site has live cams year round. Normally the cams at my farm, Mulligans Run, are up year round also.  However, we had a bad lightning strike which started at the  barn, took out every cam and all the new wiring we had just put in, along with over $5000 of other equipment.  We haven't had time to get things back online until yesterday. They are now up again and you will see inside and outside cams.  To see other cams with foaling mares go to www.marestare.com and click on Live Cams.  That is a list of all cams and the green lights indicate which farms might be on.

You can also navigate to our message board by clicking on community and then message board.  You can read about the mares that are close under Foaling Alerts and Updates.

I hope this helps.  I will fix my code so that the cams are back online here as well.

Hello Heather, does this site only run in the spring time when all the mares are ready to foal....?

How was your summer?
