This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

That's not Sadie. That's our big Show gelding Marcos. He wants dinner. LOL
I have been watching Cam 2 as well as the main one, and I notice that the lady in the bottom right corner ( Is that the real Sadie?) has been scratching non-stop. Is that"normal" ?
I wish I could predict that Toots. There just is no telling, even with veteran mares. You can't judge when they will go by the # of days. They do what nature tells them. We actually have 3 maidens this spring and then we're foaling out several in the fall for a friend. Usually the maidens go sooner...but again, they are all so different.
We definitely have to change her blanket - it seems too tight in the chest. We're drying a larger one as we speak.
congratulations - another filly !!, i too have just been out for dinner, came back, and there she was !!
Heather, you have 2 maiden mares, will they foal out around 320 days or do they usually go longer like us humans with first babies !!!!!!!!!!
