This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini donkeys at Half Ass Acres. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Well that was like trying to dress a naughty wriggling toddler! What a pickle that baby is & what a charming picture you both made! Mum was probably glad it was you being jumped on for a change! I loved the way the little one kicked out at you in passing. LOL !!
I do hope the mare is improving now, such a worry when things go wrong.
Yea!!! Poop!
That is great news!! Tilly looks like she feels so much better this morning!
What a great way to start the day!!
I was really starting to worry.... She just looked sooo uncomfortable!
I had classes last night and missed that late events, nut really got a huge "warm fuzzy" watching the filly kick up her heels and spin around while you guys were putting up the blankets last night!! She was soooo cute!!!!!!!!
Hope today is another great day for you all!!!
So glad to log on this morning and see that Tilly and her foal are doing better.
I really hope Tilly is over the worst now so we can continue to watch and enjoy her and her little foal .
Thank you so much for your kind comments and observations on our care. We try very hard to provide the best. Sometimes we are lucky and sometimes we are not. We have had our share of heartache with the joy. I suppose that is all part of being a horse owner.
We are very pleased with Tilly's progress but we also realize she is not out of the woods, so we won't let our guard down.
And sound....Ann, I don't think you would want to hear the things you might hear in the barn ROFL. Could be very interesting.
Been watching from England with great concern re- Chantilly's colic problem & so pleased to know that things are starting to work at last. It seems to be more common these days, probably as foodstuffs are not as basic as they used to be ie. rolled oats, bran, chaff, beet etc. hand mixed rather than as a complete food. You, your staff & vet are to be congratulated on the care you give to your charges, particularly in the extreme weather conditions parts of America are suffering at the moment. Keep up the good work!
Chantilly & her foal are a complete delight to watch interacting, though I wish we had sound as well so we could hear them "talking". Kind reagrds to you all.
