Yes there are two heat lamps on them.  Both the filly, who I hope will be called Silent Snowfall, and Tilly were shivering after the birth.  At 28 degrees I would be shivering too....and I think I was.

We've had several foals that did not want to lay down.  It took them days before they would lay down and stay down.  I also think the rolling is from the blankets.  Theyw ere put on before she was fully dry due to the weather temperatures.  We'll get them off for a bit this morning to check her over and let her have some time to acclimate.  Unfortunatley Tilly decided to foal during a blizzard.  This is SC and we do not get snow. It's 28 degrees and miserable so she can't go without a blanket, but eperhaps a different blanket...we'll see.

Poor little thing won't give in a lie down to rest, keeps falling asleep on her feet bless her!!!! Did make me laugh when she had a wobbly canter round the stable!!!
