Thank you Michelle I was not sure I have helped a friend when his mares foaled out but have never seen one clean up so fast, was not sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but now I know.

Did ChanFilly nurse yet? I had to walk away for a few minutes (to take care of my own horses!) So I don't know if I missed that . . .

Patti,

Some mares will "clean  up" like that after they've been down for a while resting, I love it when they do this, theres nothing to tie up and it's always a relief to see it pass..:)

Wow, can't believe after all our watching, worrying and wondering that we missed it!  And we were here too.  Anyway, good job Tilly and company, a very sweet baby you have. Up and running and raring to go already.

I like the Panda theme. How about Ling Ling after the female panda China gave the US in the 70s.

Must be amazing to sit in the stall watching those early moments.

Congrats on the pretty filly, that was a quick birth, glad momma and baby are doing good. :) Just a question is it normal for a mare to loose her placenta that quick after giving birth?

Oh, how cool! And so fast! Once she decided it was time and layed down , I think it took maybe three minutes but she did have help getting pulled out.

And what a cute little baby!! Fantastic!! Congrats all !!!!!!!!!

Such a good momma, right away she's so ...motherly.

A new beginning of a life, hope it is all good!
