Silly is seeming pretty uncomfortable and restless but with people that can go on for hours so I suspect she could too. I know nothing about horse birth but have three children of my own. Each one's birth was pretty different.

I think they test there milk and it shows how close they are approximatly

I've never seen a foal born, so can someone explain the sequence of what happens? Looks to me like SIlly is gettin close.

Our mares normally average 320 days. It's not unusual for them to go 290 days...even had one go 284 and it was fine (and we hand breed so dates were right :) )
We purchased Silhouette from an auction and her papers had a note on them to start watching at 290 so she must be an early foaler. Her bag is huge and she is testing very close.

says that Silly is at 290 days. Do mini's have a shorter gestation than big horses??
