Take a look at your horses hooves. Do you know what to look for? Do you know what your farrier looks for?
Recognized local farrier, Dave Dawson, hosts the second seminar evening in his series on hoofcare. On this evening, July 7th, Dave examines the symmetry and balance of a healthy hoof and how to determine the correct style of shoeing to suit each horse’s sport.
Dave Dawson is a member of the North Eastern Association of Equine Practitioners (NAEP) and has over 15 years of experience as a Farrier and working with Veterinarians to provide medically directed equine podiatry solutions.
This is a great seminar for all horseowners, grooms and barn managers and farriers. Everyone is welcome Refreshments will be served as will lively conversation and a few laughs.

The OEF is pleased to announce that avid equestrian & actor Daniel Fathers, best known for his roles as Uncle Brown in Disney's "Camp Rock" & "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" and as Stewart Forrest, Canadian Olympic Equestrian Trainer/Coach on CBC's "Heartland" will be the official emcee for Toronto Horse Day which is taking place on Saturday June 11, 2011 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
The Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF), Greenhawk, Riding Academy at the Horse Palace, Toronto Police Mounted Unit and Exhibition Place are gearing up for the third annual Toronto Horse Day. For me the Selena O'Hanlon clinic would have been tops. I attended a clinic with her last year and I was tremendously impressed by her knowledge and teaching ability. I was only an observer, rather than a participant, but I use some of what I learned from her every day. When I spoke with her after she attributed her ability to teach to her mother. So, I would have loved to see the two of them working together.
