Hi Deborah,

I also get tired of the verbal debates about correctness that are not supported by example or evidence! Jean Luc is certainly very refreshing in that regard! I've loved watching the Chazot podcasts and I'm hoping to see an update soon...? Any chance there Jean Luc...?
thanks,
Lyndsey

I have know Jean Luc over 20 years. I'm delighted that the Internet is providing a mechanism for his wisdom to reach a broader audience. There are only a handful of people in the world (I mean that quite literally) who have the combination of true scientific knowledge and bum in the saddle experience JL has, and *no one* else keeps up with the the most current scientific research applicable to the body and movement of the horse then applies it to soundness and performance as he does.

It does not take an expert to discern the free movement of the horses Jane Luc works with and his visible partnership with them. Verbal debates about correctness that aren't supported by scientific evidence and equine performance (and by that I do not mean what is awarded in the show ring, which is a topic all to itself) are simply one opinion versus another.

We apply rigorous science to the footwear we use when we want to exercise and to improving our performance, yet we tend to rely on convention when it comes to the athletic possibilities for our equine partners. Jean Luc has honed many years of study and time in the saddle to benefit horses and educate their owners and riders. I hope many people will embrace this opportunity to take riding to an entirely new level that will allow your horse to be all she or he can be and will challenge you to rise to the amazing levels that an equine body at liberty to perform will offer you.

Martha is most likely getting over her bad cold and the holidays. Her new horse- the gorgeous buckskin gelding Xanto is related to one of my friesians. Xanto's dam is my mare, Kali's dam.
And I was the luckiest girl when about 12 yrs ago martha bought Legendary Mars from me- and she loves him and he is a very happy boy with her.
Mars is a Moriesian.
At the time when I sold him I was going thru multiple back surgery and had 6 discs fused, 6 had lamenectomies, I lost about 2.5 inches.... and I recieved 2 sets of bi lateral baxt titanium cages and a year in a full body cast.
That was in 1997.
So I healed and ride and breed friesians and crosses.
I have 2 friesian mares and 2 new morgan mares, plus my stallion, and will be doing some different breeding this summer with the *girls.*

I knew Martha would love Xanto and so when I sent her the photos of him she was immediately drawn to him- the rest is history.
I look forward to a summer clinic and will check out the whole web site.
Thanks , Susie

Hi Helyn, I am a friend of Martha Gantsoudes, and I would like to know if JLC ever comes to northern Ca- I am north of Sacramento- and LA and that area of barns are over 10 hrs driving with a trailer for me,
and so I could not do this- I have several horses I care for, but a closer facility..would be awesome.
Thanks,
Susie

Ok Helyn, when they come after me with their deep reins and blue tongues slashing, will you be there to help? They may not like me much. I have a Dutch mare, and I know what they did do her in Holland....Ok Seriously, I will find a way to regain my composure and drop them. This is so much fun. My family hates my new found interest.

perhaps someone can help me here. I went searching, out of touch with the ways of these sites, and came upon, to my horror...a group called...Lovers of ANky. So I checked it out, and now I am a member. Wow, I thought, how did this happen? So I left to those poor unsuspecting souls, a big diss of MS. Anky. I could not help myself. How do I get out of that group??

Helyn, can you tell us a bit of history about Charot. He is clearly a spirited and beautiful creature. With a body full of questions and potential. I love the videos so far.

Lafayette at Devon represents brilliance, if only for a brief and fleeting moment in the chaos of a spectacular competitive site. This duo shines, and I wonder who really understood what they were witnessing. For those of us here who follow JL, are you not awed and determined that this is an opportunity to promote an equine shattering event, and begin the promotion of a better and fairer and more comfortable way for all. I like to ride like this by the way. Big warmbloods, with huge movement, I have them, are far more comfortable to ride when they use their backs correctly. Joy to all.

Thank You Helyn,
Most of these darlings have been touched and influenced by JL over the years. I only wish I had the opportunity to help the special mare Cali sooner by working with JL when she arrived from Holland. SHe is sound and doing so well now, and I work alone, for years I have worked alone. I am determined to watch Jean Luc perform his magic again when the venue is close to CT. Beyond all, I am grateful that all my horses, without exception, are sound and without any drugs, injections, lameness....ever!...And this is what I came to expect through my relationship with JL over 14 + years. If only actually working with him for a few...it was that important and influential.
