You can try Bronte Creek, they are at Tremaine and No. 2 Side Road. That used to be the old Hendervale equestrian centre. www.brontecreekequestrian.com
They seem to have lots of a variety of shows going on. Let me know the dates and if I am available maybe I can help.
Looking for any interested facilities who would be interested in hosting a standardbred only show next year so we have more shows for the year end? Each show is separate and responsible for all of the show ie funds,judges.... we just need some common classes for year end.. Standardbred Showcase would be willing to sit down and discuss to help out with class lists, what is required. Please contact standardbredshowcase@live.ca
The morgans might be the key. They are bred to be very versatile as well. Versatile horses have good dispositions as they have to be willing to do anything. The morgans were bred in Massachusetts. Most of the horses that were introduced to the U.S. at the time of colonization were brought by the Spanish conquistadors. A lot of the quarter horses, appys, mustangs can trace their ancestries to the spanish horse.
I am very impressed with their "kind" disposition. This might sound like a stupid question, but does anybody know where their original breeding came from. They have a very "spanish" type of disposition. Like you say they are willing, honest, kind and human oriented. It just brings to mind that the Iberian horses are very much like that. Might they have some spanish blood in their ancestry?

We have a local hrness track here, so STB's are everywhere...plenty of sound, sane and jaw-dropping beautiful horses. One of my students is working with a rescue...he no longer looks like a wreck....he looks like an eventing TB.
I love the honesty, willingness and just plain good sense of this breed. They convert to saddle quite well.....some will always be a bit "tracky", but many are mellow, happy and fun horses who never heard the word "quit". Lots of the ones 'round here jump like deer...not usually your hunter type, but X-country? Just watch them fly !!
