Congratulations, Firestorm... well done!

Thanks Bear! Training humans certainly is an 'interesting' experience. It sounds like you had a great day too... it's fun to tear around like that, isn't it?! My human worries about me when I run and buck in the pasture with my buddies, especially when I do sharp turns or skid to a stop near the fence. They are quite excitable creatures. :P I have to admit that some of her worry may come from the fact that whenever I have big growth spurt, I do sometimes misjudge where my feet are... but I always figure it out!

My human has been so happy with her training that she brought me a gift to thank me for being a great teacher! :)

Check out my new bridle... I have never had a bridle of my own before, and it was made especially for me!

The brand on my left shoulder is from the rodeo arena! So I can never forget it!

I don't know how humans do it. They can have a clipped coat one day, and the next it's fully grown! My human rides me in a bright, painted winter coat! 'WHINNY, SNORT!' Do any of u know how they do it? I don't think they change coats like they change spurs. Oh well! Well done Nocturnis! Just a bit more time and u could be a pro!

Hay Nocturnis! That's awesome!!! You must be very pleased with yourself for keeping it together. Training a new human can be a bit mind blowing sometimes, believe me!!! ;-)

Yesterday I went for a bolt around the sand ring (without my rider ... wouldn't want to scare the manure out of them) at break neck speed while a jump was being set up. I ran, and ran, and ran, and ran, around and around and around ... it was so good to get the bugs out of my system though I think my mom just about had a heart attack watching me tearing around. "Whoa, Bear! Whoa!" was like a fading whisper on the breeze by the time it reached me. I was running and squealing and bucking with such glee. I felt really good when it was all over. Clearly my mom was relieved.

It was a rare day when I got to do some jumping. Mom doesn't do that much with me anymore ... she has a young rider who'll pop on me from time to time and just guide me over some low ones to change up my routine a bit. I love it!!! I wish my mom got more joy out of jumping, but I can understand why she doesn't.

Today we're back in dressage mode and by the looks of it we'll be outside again too. Wh ... hoo!!
