I'm happy to see we're all facing the same kinds of challenges with our humans. Makes me feel like I'm in good company. :-) Now, I await with much aniticipation the arrival of my mom who will pamper me silly, feed me lots of carrots and keep on keepin' on with the canter thing. I know she'll get it ... I just know she will ...

Oh and I like to harass and torment my Lusitano neighbour. He throws his Jolly Balls at me, and I throw my feed bucket (once I've got it off the wall) back at him. I love to hear that thwack as it connects with his body.

We both spend part of the day concussed as a result of our play.

Fun times!

Hey Willy von Whompers - Boy are you right about that concussion thing - makes the time pass so much more quickly doesn't it??!! Keep up the good work ;>)

Hi everyone. My favourite activities include throwing pylons and jump blocks, chasing the fillies in my field, and watching my humans play with a jolly ball. I also enjoy training humans, although sometimes it is hard work!

Humans do seem to be needy creatures - they always want my full attention. Just yesterday I had my human out for a walk and one of my neighbours called out to me to say hello... I was mid-reply when my human rudely interrupted. I had to cut my conversation short because my human demanded that I focus on her. Clearly I still have some training to do with her! *sigh* A horse's work is never done!

Hey Jack! Great post! You're right ... we DO teach them and I believe my mom is starting to get the picture. Hallelujah! But sometimes it's still a struggle. She thinks way too much about the canter transition. I try to tell her that if she'd just get out of my way I could take care of it for her. I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel ... but just how long is that tunnel??? (Just kidding ... she's getting it, I really think she is ... some times ...[sigh])

Hi Everybody - I'm Jack le Donk, known to my friends as Jack.

I just want to let all you horses know that I'm the one in charge of the herd at all times (Just because I'm a little shorter than you doesn't mean my ego isn't as big as yours, you know)

Many years ago my Mom taught me how to drive - or at least that's what she tells other people - After I got her disabused of the notion that donkeys are supposed to lunge (how dumb is that, going around in circles for no apparent reason), I taught her how to drive - she thinks she taught me, but we all know better than that, don't we!

Here's a picture of us at a show - and Yes, I won the class and was Champion in my division (my mom has a beautiful silver belt buckle to prove it, even though she never wears it cuz she's too fat! Ha ha!

PS - I'm just kidding about the 'being in charge' stuff - just want to make sure I got your attention, hee hee!

What I love best is smiling ... and I do that a lot! ... after some good exercise, after a carrot, after my human massage's my face with lavender aromatherapy oil (I have her well trained). I'm basically a pretty happy boy and love to brighten up everybody's day! :-) It's just the way I am ...!

Hi, I am Bella and my human also works me in what she calls dressage. I kind of like it because I can show off my beautiful tail nicely as we move. I really love how it hangs when we go sideways especially.

They try so hard, don't they? I mean we should appreciate the work they do for us I suppose, they are just so slow!

Posting here is challenging with hooves, huh?

Hello Donnie. Chestnut is such a handsome colour. Really there IS no other colour.

I am Willy von Whompers - a Hanovarian gelding of great wisdom and talent (or at least that's what I think).

My favourite activities are begging for food and scratching my tail and sitting on my feed bucked and flattening it. Oh and I like to harass and torment my Lusitano neighbour. He throws his Jolly Balls at me, and I throw my feed bucket (once I've got it off the wall) back at him. I love to hear that thwack as it connects with his body.

We both spend part of the day concussed as a result of our play.

Fun times!
