Hey Nocturnis!
Those strange things around ur leg culd be a bandage! :) I also have 1. :( It takes quite sum getting used 2! I was in a racing accident and had 2 be kicked out. :( Now I stay with my 13 yr old human. I am 7! :) I don't get 2 gallop much so I take advantage of spooking and cantering where I go a bit 2 fast 4 her liking... But she still loves me 2 death! Wen I get ridden I also need boots around my legs! :( They have a horrible feeling at first! But they help 2 support my legs as I am not used 2 thick sand and rubber yet!
Well... c u!
Wish me luck 4 Europe! Flying at 4 'o clock! For 11 hrs! :( :) I'll be able 2 see birds next to me! Staying 4 4 weeks! :)

Hi Bear, it's great that your mom is doing so well. I always behave, though I am sometimes misunderstood. ;) I don't understand why I have to rest... it's spring and I want to play with my buddies!

The humans keep wrapping strange things around my leg, but I am getting used to it. What I don't like is spending a lot of time in my stall... and so I loudly and assertively expressed my displeasure. It must have worked because now I get to spend time outside during the day, but I don't get to go in the big field with the other young horses. :( Ah well, at least I have my "Uncle Beau" to keep me company. We hang out and munch on hay and yummy grass shoots.

My leg is still sore and does really hurt sometimes , especially if I try to run... then it gets really owie and I don't want to put it down. Hmmm, I guess that's why my human wants me to take it easy. I've been told it's also why I have to eat some grain with strange stuff added to it.

So, Nocturnis, are you behaving yourself and cutting that leg some slack? Your human is concerned about you ...

I get today off. Just as well, I worked very hard in our lesson yesterday. My mom is making good progress. ;-)

I found out that those 'demons', were actually just people with torn cloaks! :) I am way 2 over imaginative sumtimes! And the dogs red eyes were due to the time of day and the light reflecting. The dogs' 'smoke' was his, ummm.... long, matted fur! :) I am soooooo silly at times! My human told me randomly the other day and said she knows as the police investigated.

Hay, Nocturnis, that sounds just awful!!! Try to be patient buddy. Do what your human asks and get some rest -- that will ensure a speedier recovery. And when your human cries it means she loves you. Give her a nuzzle ... it'll help her feel better ;-) You'll be up and at'em again in no time, bud, as long as you follow doctor's orders. Take it easy and enjoy the extra lovin'.

As for me, I had a quiet weekend. Mom was away scribing at Palgrave so I got to hang with my friend Sam, uninterrupted for a couple of days. Christine rode me on Saturday night ... we did some jumping. That was fun!!! (Although I spooked myself when I knocked down a rail. Fortunately Christine knows how to handle that just fine.)

And everyone ... I understand that Donnie, founder of our herd, has not been feeling very well lately and will be retiring. His mom is feeling very sad. When you have a moment why not let them know you care.

All the best, Donnie boy!

Ow! I got caught in a fence and badly hurt myself. The vet came and did a bunch of stuff and now I have lots of bandages and I am stuck inside in a stall. My human has been crying, but she tries not to let me see that. :( However she has been spending a lot of time with me and has given me treats, so that part is good.
