yes they definitely jump wire fences here. they call them 'spars' and even have a wire jump in the jumping section of all fairs (or a & p's as they are called here.) definitely a bit scary for a canadian. we are planning on coming for a visit in early oct this year, stopping first to watch 1 day of dressage at the weg before driving up, so i will keep in touch. is priscilla still a member?

Vickie - great hearing from you, Hope all's well with you in NZ. Funny you mentioned Priscilla: She and Tony introduced me to W-WH in the mid 1990s. I recall a documentary on hunting in NZ where they showed jumping wire fences! If you're ever visiting here please look us up - if it's during a hunt season we'll try to find you a mount.

hi! many many years ago i hunted with your group through an english lady i boarded my horse with-priscilla. i now live in new zealand and have only hunted here once, but seeing your group brought back many memories.
