Hi, I love dapple grays, I would love to own one. Hey one question that I really want to know, it doesn't really have anything to do with horses but anyway, does anyone know which way Australia normally spells "gray" is it "gray" or "grey"? I't bugs me cuz I always spell it different lol.
My filly was born a coffee color but she is definately turning grey. She shows alot of grey hairs in her tail and now thru out her new spring coat, which is black. I would have been surprized if she was not a grey because both parents were greys.
Only sad thing about greys is their propensity to get malanomas as they age. My mare also gets sunburned on her blazed mozzle and she is extremly sensitive to alot of drugs.
Does anyone find that their grey tends to be more of a roller than normal horses. It is like she wants to be a brown horseas muddy as she stays on a regular basis.
I <3 grays!
My mare is dappled when you look at her on her own, but she is quite light, so as soon as you put her next to a dark dappled gray she looks more like mud! haha
I always thought it was a shame that dapple grays fade, it's such a nice colour . Here's a couple of pics of my grays. Father and daughter, Esqulino ( Essky ) & Stella
I have 3 purebred arabs. Quite by accident, they're all greys!! I do have to say, a dapple grey arab mare is probably the most beautiful thing on the planet!
