A Bit About Me and my Horse(s): My friend Donna and I started riding lessons at a barn called Green Willows, Oakville in 1965 (before the era of indoor arenas!), where you had to "earn" your saddle. In hindsight, great way to learn - you either get it or fall off (many times, ponies are evil...). Our fathers would take turns driving us out to the barn and stand outside in the dead of winter watching us ride (that's love ..).
First horse was hunter named Selected Knight, coached by Gord Kirton, Dad of Kim (Tawco in Waterloo), moved to Meadowvale (now Heritage Farms). Second horse was x-racehorse Morgan's Run, showed local jumper a bit. Donna opened Springstal Farms in Moffat (Campbellville). No horse at the moment but active on the Planning Committee for the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in Toronto and Volunteer with LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society http://www.longrunretirement.com/index.html
