I can't always get a shoulder -in or haunches -in, I have so far to go.

The mare I rode last year (before buying these wonderful horses) was a DREAM to ride. she had a litle stubborn side too, she pulled the crow hop and buck er oo on me a few times, I felt like you , I didn't want to let her get away with it and think I was going to quit.
that mare was so sensitive with her mouth and to leg aids that I could ride her better than I could ride= you know what I mean?
She made me better, somehow. I have to get Festiva and Fiesta in shape first and then to understand everything we want. Fiesta finally knows how to drop her head to find the bit and i stretch her down on the diagonal walk, after not doing it for some months I was so happy that she remembered that move.
I can't wait to ride on the week end, but, have to work on Sat at the bank to catch up. Mortgages are coming out of my ears and my desk is piled full.

I have been working long hours and missed the news on this website. Unfortunate news though, from the girl who lost her friend. I can't imagine what fear that would cause for her, very disturbing for everyone and such a horrible thing for the girl's family to suffer with.

I had the first opportunity to haul both of my gals to my instructor's place on Sunday. We haven't ridden in months, too cold, and I have had too much work at the bank to get time away.
I pulled the 4 horse trailer with our big dually Ford truck, felt like a real truck driver, well just a little like a truck driver. I was so very careful all the way. I had about 5 people watching me try and try and try to back it into the driveway. That wasn't pretty. Oh well, you have to learn everything and I'm willing to do it.
My husband rode Festiva, she was so pretty to watch, I rode my sweet Fiesta, I was very careful with her so she didn't get too hot, We had some warmer weather here, they still have lots of winter hair. I hope we can ride at least once a week, I want to keep her in shape while she is in foal. Last year we rode twice a week, but until I get an arena here I have to haul 70 miles round trip.

How far into warm weather are you in TN? Do you have green grass, any leaves yet, or spring bulbs coming up?

Your horse is lovely, a friend I ride with has a Percheron cross TB, and Andi Perch like yours, Both have wonderful temperment, huge feet and wonderful style and grace.
Your pics are super. I would love to have you as a friend.
I live in central Indiana, and can't wait to have some better weather for outdoor riding. We are beginning, this year, with the two mares I bought, to school with my dressage teacher. She is a long-time student of Jean-Claude Racinet. He was here about three years ago and such a wonderful teacher.
I have some green horses too, I have been learning on school horses for the past two years and am anxious to ride my own.
My instructor had a leased Andi mare, was the smoothest ride, most sensitive horse to light aids and I was very impressed.
I have one mare in foal to Pavon II, my teacher's stallion.
She found him in Canada about two years ago. what a fine horse he is and has a docile personality for a stallion.
The Andalusian horse has me transfixed! I just can't get enough of them and I read all the time about blood-lines etc.
I am interested in your experience with your lovely mare.
