That's quite disturbing!! I don't really understand why prisons have "SPORTING EVENTS" anyway. It's appalling what they did to that horse with the two broken legs!! Surely that is a criminal offence!! Was anyone prosecuted ?

I cannot say just how disturbed I am by the video in the link. There is a petition in the UK to try to stop the people who condone this violence and torture of animals by some of the most brutal criminals in the US. No I don't know the farrier, but then my horse is barefoot so I don't have much to do with farriers. I have a barefoot trimmer who comes to do him. Since it's so rural round here there are lots of horsey folk. I am not into competing but there are lots of riding clubs and the showjumping crowd are quite active.
