Transition from snaffle to shank bit
Hi Guys,My paint mare is turning six this spring so it's time to think about putting her in a "big girl" bit. We just started working on reining last year and she really has caught on quickly - she loves it. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on making the switch to the shank bit. - A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
- I have been riding for as long as I can remember. I went through the 4H program as well as Pony Club as a teenage. As an adult I've changed from english riding to western and am currently trying to get my 5 year old registered paint mare ready to go to some reining shows next show season. I have two children, a daughter who is into Pony Club and a son who is more into computers. We have three horses that we keep at home: My paint mare, my daughters appendix quarterhorse and my daughters first pony - a welsh, shetland cross.
