I am 66, have arthritis, osteoporosis, breast and lung cancer, plantar facitis, asthma, heart condition, acid reflux, high blood pressure, high cholesterol just to name a few conditions. I began to ride bareback when I was 3, then went on to ride western competitvely in south western Ontario, then "graduated" to English side, later trained in dressage with the intent to compete. Teaching and other professional career plans drew…See More

Hi Sharon,
So nice to meet you. I grew up in Tara (also a bit of a blink). It's in Bruce County - near Sauble Beach - everyone knows where Sauble Beach is LOL.
I was lucky enough to grow up with horses. At times we had close to 20 Quarter Horses. We bred, raised and trained them. We used to show quite a bit. We travelled to the Exeter area a time or two for club shows, and some local youth team challenges.
I attended UoG for 4 years, and have my B.Sc. focusing on animal nutrition. I was lucky enough to find a equine nutrition position right out of university, and although I've changed companies, I'm still doing it, and love what I do.
I work for a Mill called Jones Feed Mills, and we are just West of St. Jacobs/Kitchener/Waterloo area. We service all areas of Ontario, and keep busy doing it!
I have two little boys, my oldest just started school last week in JK...very exciting. I have 5 horses; two broodmares, a stallion and two foals. With everything, we keep very busy....but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Again, great to meet you!
