Sofia, SK Equestrian has not received any gifts yet
My equestrian life is coming to a turning point as I have recently taken on an adventure of training my very own young horse and while we are still in the very beginning of this adventure, I plan to record all of it into my blog. Writing has always been close to my heart, and now that I have finally rallied my courage to set up a blog and actually have something interesting to write about I'm more than happy to share my story to anyone who's willing to read it!
I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to blogging and my blog is indeed very young. However, I love reading other blogs alike and easily find inspiration for my own writing. On Instagram I can be found by the name @skjequestrian.
My daily equestrian life consists of riding two horses and doing my share of the barn work in my family's 5- horse barn. Fantti, my older horse is currently recovering from an injury he acquired in the summer and so far his future seems bright and healthy. He has been my school master for over 5 years and has taught me most of what I can do today. Since I am a show jumper and that's where my heart lies, I was in need of a new horse after making the decision to retire Fantti from showing due to the nature of his injury. In October of 2017, we made a trip to the Netherlands in search of a fitting candidate. Instead of any seasoned jumper, I fell in love with a humongous 5- year old Dutch Warmblood called Hilfiger van de Zonnehoeve, Tommie for short. Behind this decision was my belief that the greatest personal ''win'' I could achieve at this point of my career is to train an unschooled young horse as far as he (and I) can go. Winning in a show is great but what if I could do it on a horse I've trained myself?
I truly would appreciate if You could check out my blog and if you like it, subscribe to it. It would also mean the world to me if you left a comment on how you find it. All constructive criticism is more than welcome as are suggestions on what kind of content You would like me to make!
Kind regards,
Sofia from SK Equestrian
I’m the kind of person who loves planning and whether it’s for studying or riding, I always like to have a written plan on paper or I start to feel unorganized and unproductive. When I plan the following week on Sunday evening, all I have to do next is just follow the plan and that way, I won’t have to worry about getting everything done. This mostly applies for studying, because my deadline is the day of the exam and I know exactly what I have to learn before that date.…
