Waiting for a foal

It's foaling season at Sweetwater Ranch.  One of my clients bought a lovely dressage mare by Olympic Ferro already bred to Grannius II - and I covered two of my own mares with Louie.  So, this year I will get to see what he produces, and we already have one foal on the ground.   He has been named Sweetwater's Alliance - barn name Lance - and he is lovely with good straight legs, up on his pasterns and nice feet all around.  And BIG.  In fact, Dr Marteney said he is the biggest foal he has…

A hurricane, great.

So last night was my ridding lesson.



It didn't go ahead.



I was home suffering with a cold, when a hurricane hit. Now see, the wind wasn't much of a problem. It was the rain. If the rain had been snow, then it would have been fine. But no-where here is built to handle that much rain. So obviously, my lesson did not go ahead. the show

Hey Guys,
my barn and i are preparing for one of the quinte cups which is tommorow! so siked. i am riding my own horse( a public spectacle)barn name is scalliwag and we do two six and up to 3 foot.scalliwag is a paint so he is always hard to clean but oh well we'll deall with it when he gets dirty. so everyone wish me luck!!

September 17 2010

Today was a beautiful day. I tried to work all my horses but only got a few done. Its all good though.

 

I did ground work with Fergie, (Painted Beauty), (my newest baby a 3 yo paint. The filly from my late paint mare, B (My Bayou Beauty). I got her completely green. So I am starting from scratch.)
