As we all sit back and watch 2020 come to a close, most of us are looking forward to seeing the year slide out. For us, 2020 was full of changes. Some of these changes we knew were coming and we were quite excited. Some came out of left field and made us sad. We watched good friends sell their business and go into a well deserved retirement. But as Father Time has taught us time and again, things never go as planned. Their long awaited retirement lasted about 6 months before finishing in a retirement home. It reminded us to keep following your passion because that is what gives you your purpose. We continued to represent the Continental brand and started our own small shop with only quality western working tack that was either designed by Gary or Gary approved. As with every year, we met a lot of new people and their horses and formed wonderful friendships. We watched as owners' bonds with their horses grew. Because of Covid our plans for a nice young horse we purchased had to be changed mid year. Which really threw a wrench into what we thought we be an incredible 3 year old year for KB Wimpys Gunnrunner. We have to thank Jeremy Gates for being so incredible to work with on the purchase of this horse. Shawn Flarida Reiners picked up and got our horse in the show pen where he was NRBC Tamarack Ranch Developing Futurity Reserve Champion Level 1. Shawn is a mentor and good friend and a fine example of a hard working athlete with a solid work ethic and morals. It was these traits that we knew would blend well with our program and be the right choice to represent this horse when we couldn't.
We have our fingers crossed that 2021 will ease the stresses of 2020 and allow us all to get back to some sort of "normal". We have great hopes of getting back in the show pen. We look forward to meeting all of the horses that have been booked. We still have a few spaces available so don't hesitate to book a time to come out and meet us.
We would like to extend a heartfelt Happy New Year to everyone. We hope your load lessens in 2021 and that you find peace and joy.
